The actress, once a cover girl for Vogue magazine, now lives with her family in Beverly Hills along with Samantha and Olivia. Ann Turkel has been married only eight years and has been divorced from Richard Harris since 20. She is still unable to take the news of his passing. Turkel was a Jewish girl who was raised in Manhattan and born to a middle-class Jewish family, had already studied under Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton when she was 16. She credits her grandmother as a source of inspiration for her creative pursuits. Ann is a vocalist dance, acting, and dancing since her early childhood. Ann at the time was sixteen years old, studied at at the Neighborhood Playhouse (formerly the Musical Theatre Academy) and at the Musical Theatre Academy under some of the best acting teachers that were in the city. They included Sandy Meisner & Philip Burton. Ann began to join her fellow students in a group called a rock group and started singing. It was in Stockbridge, Massachusetts she also performed in the summer at Berkshire Playhouse performing plays like The Pajama Game and West Side Story. Ann's performance as a member of her band at a fashion event was the moment Gloria Schiff, editor of Vogue Magazine, discovered Ann. Diana Vreeland ordered Ann to do her first Vogue photo shoot with Richard Avedon within one week. Subsequently Ann was one of the most desired models in America, landing on the cover of top fashion magazines, including Vogue Bazaar and Cosmopolitan among many other magazines. Two years later, Ann hit the international markets with her successful modeling in Europe as well as Japan in the role of face of big brands in the cosmetic industry like Max Factor Revlon and Chanel.
