Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American actress model TV host and comedian. They finished with a second place, becoming the youngest runner-up ever in the history of the show. Angelica Hale suffered from double pneumonia in 2012. She was 4 at when she was diagnosed. The cause of her sickness was an aggressive strain of strep bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston had to place Angelica Hale in ECMO Life-Support after she desperately needed life-saving medical intervention. Her kidneys did not recover following the onset of an infection with septicae and eventually had multiple organ failure. It was her new normal to have peritoneal and then hemolysis. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital from the point where she was near death to the long road back to healthy. Her life had been forever altered. After a year and a half of dialysis Angelica was ready for the biggest surgery she had ever undergone- her kidney transplant. Angelica's mother was the only person who was able to donate a kidney. Angelica and her mother had the surgery to remove their kidneys successfully on 13 September 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from one another. Angelica Hale's dream to be an international star has not waned.
